The Department of Psychology has about 100 employees including 12 professors, 12 associate professors and 30 candidates for the doctorate. Since the late 1950's it has a strong research tradition in human perception, including basic studies in vision (especially event perception), development of perception and traffic safety, as well as basic and applied problems in haptics. The latter tradition is especially relevant in the present context.
